S.O.T.D. Saturday 17th December to Friday 23rd December 2016

Good Evening Gents,

Prep: Hot shower, Nivea face scrub and L'Oreal charcoal face wash
Pre: King of Shaves oil and bloom water
Razor: Fatip with ATT kronos handle
Razor blade: Rapira platinum (2)
Brush: "The Duke"
Soap: Saponifico Varesino Felce Aromatica
Post: Thayers witch hazel and Myrsol Emulsion
Soundtrack: The thin white "Duke" himself, David Bowie 'Blackstar'.

Great shave and probably my quickest yet. The Fatip performed brilliantly with the Rapria blade, super smooth. The SV soap gave plenty of protection too.

Have a great evening. I'm off out on the razzle.
Cheers
Rob

Top sounds, have a good evening bud.

One pass beard and head with the B1/Plus Platinum followed by two with the I1 /vintage Twins. I can't say I was wowed by the B1 at first go but the I1 with Twins achieves the highest levels of efficiency and comfort. Right up there with the AC equipped Hawk in terms of efficiency but without any fear of a blood feast. The feel is not dissimilar to that of a good cartridge razor but without the irritation I always experience with a multblade razor like a Fusion. Just great. And surprisingly to me, no problem with clogging even with the exclusive use of shave oil. The H1 and O clone so equipped may be smoother (I don't have an L) but I don't think as efficient. Dog's Danglies indeed.

Brush: Razorock 'The Hulk' 35mm synthetic brush
Razor: Rockwell 6S (4) w/ Persona Platinum (3)
Soap:Phoenix and Beau Solaris
A/S: 4711 Nouveau Cologne

Fancied something bright for today with it being the Winter Solstice, lovely lather as expected and a great shave with the Rockwell at setting 4, a bit more aggressive than my usual setting but no irritation or issues at all. I went with the Razorock The Hulk synthetic, perfectly suited to the tub P&B use. The 4711 is a lovely fruity fragrance a mixture of berries and currants.

L'Occitane Cade Rich Cream
L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic brush
Merkur Futur
Voskhod
L'Occitane Cade Aftershave Balm

A shave of firsts... My first go with a Plisson synth (thanks @Dipesh) I'm no great fan of synths compared to badger but wanted to try one of these anyway and to compliment my L'Occitane software which has become my "go to"... Overall its pretty decent, whips up a nice lather in no time & doesnt drip water everywhere like my old Muhle synth. Also my first go with a Futur, all I can say is so much BS is talked about this razor on the 'net, I've read about alleged "design faults", terrible aggressiveness and inability to use it under the nose... All complete piffle! Easily the best DE i've used, felt less aggressive than an R41 but the result was equally close with zero irritation as a bonus it feels well made and looks pretty.
