S.O.T.D. Saturday 17th December to Friday 23rd December 2016

TBH Clint I'm enjoying myself too much.
I can't believe how addictive this shaving business is.

I hope Santa brings you loads of goodies.
Merry Christmas.
Cheers
Rob

Me too. I am having fun with this hobby for sure. I have accumulated most of the items I desire. My goal for the New Year is to finish up some of my soap inventory and continue to have fun. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Rob.

Razor: Gillette Executive Gold Adjustable Fat Boy (F 1) 1960.
Blade: Kai Stainless Steel (6)
Brush: Elite Razor Gold Laced Black Onyx Tuxedo
Soap: Route 66 Lumberjack
Aftershave: Route 66 Lumberjack Balm

Missed yesterday's shave, but on the upside I got some good rest. Excellent 3 pass shave this morning. The Route 66 soap and aftershave balm are excellent products.

Lovely soap the LEA is. Splendid the Streamline performed. Smooth the shave was. Happy the Christmas will be.

See you on the eve!

Prep - Noxzema / Hot towel
Pre shave - Proraso
Razor – iKon B1 Deluxe
Blade – Permasharp
Brush - 'The Archduke' (Brad Sears Archduke 26/50 2-Band Manchurian)
Soap – Soap Smooth - Jasmine Tea
Post - Witch Hazel, Trevarno Revitalising Face Oil

The iKon B1 Deluxe/Permasharp combo was incredibly efficient, ploughing through 4 days worth of growth, whilst the Jasmine Tea was faultless in all aspects of its performance.. yeah, ACE!!

Hi Mike, tracking said it had been delivered but it had not it was at my local sorting office and then I got a card in the post asking for money £17.40.
Hi Paul,
Same happened to me. Mrs SWMBO got card from Postman, She did not notice the Charge of £17.65. Have slipped into Sorting office while delivering Xmas cards , so am now getting things out of the box.:):(

Am due one more DE Shave tomorrow, but maybe that can wait :):D
Mike

I firmly believe that how much you enjoy this as a hobby is directly proportional to how miserable shaving was for you before you got into it.

Not for me. I didn't have any issues before trying DE shaving.
I used King of Shaves razor, KOS pre shave oil with Nivea shaving gel aftershave balm, job done. I got very good shaves but fancied trying something different.

It's been hit and miss but the amazing shaves make up for the misses.

Oh, it was a lot bloody cheaper too!

One pass beard and head with the B1/Plus Platinum followed by two with the I1 /vintage Twins. I can't say I was wowed by the B1 at first go but the I1 with Twins achieves the highest levels of efficiency and comfort. Right up there with the AC equipped Hawk in terms of efficiency but without any fear of a blood feast. The feel is not dissimilar to that of a good cartridge razor but without the irritation I always experience with a multblade razor like a Fusion. Just great. And surprisingly to me, no problem with clogging even with the exclusive use of shave oil. The H1 and O clone so equipped may be smoother (I don't have an L) but I don't think as efficient. Dog's Danglies indeed.
