Schick S/S [ 1-Japan ]
b. PAL S/S Adj [ No3 ]
Alum Rub/Rinse Off
Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

Had a poor shave yesterday with my previously unused PAL, which could have been down to the Razor or the NOS blade. So decided another try was warranted. All seemed OK as the dial was nice and firm, again the same problem the Razor not cutting despite varying the blade settings.

Aborted the Shave and continued with a well tested PAL Adj. Well the difference was immediate and I attained the usual Top Class Shave that I associate with this Razor. Hard visually to see where the difference is, but looks as if I have got one of those duff ones from the production line, that is sometimes talked about.

Wednesday's shave -

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Coal Tar Soap.
Razor - ATT SE1, Bamboo handle.
Blade - Kai Captain Titan Mild (Pink) (day 1).
Soap - Gentleman's Groom Room Essence of Scotland Sweet Gale Traditional Shaving Soap.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2 - Best Badger.
Post shave - Cold water splash, followed by DH Harris Skin Tonic and Organic Aloe Vera.

Great shave 2 passes. First time using the Kai Captain blade, it felt a more relaxed shave compared with the Feather Professional, I'm sure that I was more relaxed, learning from reviews that this is a milder blade compared with the Feather :)

I was in a little bit of a rush, so just soap and the razor. First time also using the Gentleman's Groom Room Essence of Scotland Sweet Gale Traditional Soap. Great lather and smell!

My skin felt better (less tight) on using the Kai, compared with the Feather Professional. I appreciate that YMMV.

All the best,

Chris

In anticipation of the arrival of my Rockwell this afternoon, I did a head shave last night with my favorite razor -- face shave this morning -- so as to have a good basis for comparison with the Rockwell head shave I'll do tonight. Bakelite Shake Sharp, My Father's Face #12 & 35 shave oil. Pretty high bar for the Rockwell. The ease with which I get to dolphin BBS on my head with Shakes is unmatched. Happy anniversary Blonde on Blonde.
