Rockwell 2C over 6C?

Thoughts on these........ Is it worth buying the 2C over the 6C? I have only really had mild razors..... EJ89, Muhle 89 and my first DE razor Merkur Futur (wouldn't go above no.3 setting). Have read great things about the Rockwell and wondered if it would be worth me buying the 6C as I may not use the higher plates? Or should I buy the 6C and then the extra plates are there if I need them?

If I recall rightly, there's not a huge price difference between these two. As a result, I'd say go for the 6C - you can have a play around with the extra plates then and see what works best for you.

6c without a doubt. I had a 2c and plate 3 only worked for me if I shaved daily. Miss a day and I'd need an extra pass and touching up.
As reference, I use a Merkur Progress on 2.5.

6C is the way to go.
I mostly used to use plate 3, but recently I find plates 4&5 give better shaves and it's still as svelte as on lower settings.
For only £14 extra it makes sense.

I know what you mean much the Futur.
I used one almost exclusively for around seven years, and my favoured setting was around 2.5.
It's a beast of a razor, but it shaves like no other DE I've used.
