You should be able to do this via the device that are using to take the picture be it a camera , iPad or phone.

I am a total technophobe Luddite, but thankfully my wife is uber intelligent.
So what she has shown me how to do is take a photo on the phone, then crop it using the tools editing feature, press the upload button, choose documents, choose picture and nine times out of ten it loads.
