Question about MMOC shaving

I recently got a MMOC with Personna coated blade. First shave was wonderful,
smooth and comfortable. Since the first shave I can't recreate that sensation.
The shave is harsh and uncomfortable. I change to a new blade but the result is the same. No doubt the shave is good and I got BBS but the feeling is harsh.
Any advise please.
P.S It's my first Gem razor.

Your first time is always the best!

I would say your first time was filled with trepidation and you kept a light touch. After a successful and highly enjoyable shave, your confidence has increased and I think the subsequent shaves have not been quite as light.

That, and the first shave off a new single edge blade with a light touch is heaven. Thereafter, just smoother (to use) and not quite as pristine in the finish.
