Polsilver... will they be the greatest no longer made blade of modern times ?

At the moment but if production did stop last year that will soon change and as they start to run out the price will be sure to go up.
So if you have a liking for these blades (Polsilver SIs) it may be a good idea to stock up or take the chance that it was just a rumour without foundation and wait and see.

Prices are way up on ebay and Amazon. Could have nothing to do with supply though, and just rumor panic. Hard to say.

The best price I've seen is a bulk buy deal at Gemstone, I think they were one of the suppliers who said production was stopping last summer so who knows so I took advantage of the offer and bagged 800 for a good price. I will just sit on them and if the price does rocket I will have saved money if not I still got them at a good price and won't need to buy any for a good while. Win win!!

Well I have just shy of 800 squirreled away , the urge to buy another 800 grow's stronger day by day , it is only a matter of time before I succumb to temptation

I have 100 and that is a few years worth even if I used no other blade. We will see I might get another 100 but I can't find that much difference between the Pols and an Astra Super Platinum tbh. They are better but not drastically so for me. I like smooth and efficiently sharp but not rabidly sharp like a Feather. Voshkods are the ones that leave me with the most confortable shaves. I recently tried the Rapira Platinum Lux too and that was damn near as good as the Polsilver so we'll see.

There's a Bulgarian seller on Ebay that reckons they've just had a distributor change & been repackaged differently, that's all.

Hope so as they are my best all round blade...I have not got to the bottom of this rumour and don't think I will. My American friends on Shave Den say it is BS.

I had heard good things about the Polsilver SI blades so I ordered 10 to try... I'm very very impressed with them, I can't believe that I've had 8 shaves with the very first blade, I tend to use a new blade after 3 shaves but the blade felt like new after 3 shaves so I said "one more shave "
I ordered another 100. I don't think I will ever run out of blades now... half of my shaves are with a SR though
