Shwmae pawb - alright all?

Here's where I'm at, I listen often to This Week in Tech, an American podcast where the tech news of the past week is discussed between a panel. I find it interesting hearing different sides of the story as it were and seeing how developments in the technology industry might affect things going forward. However, this runs once a week and I tend to finish it before the week is up.

The same company also produce a daily podcast, but that's a bit less to my liking - far less discussion as a result of a smaller panel.

My podcastial elixir, as it were, was Serial - the first instalment was a 'murder mystery' type affair in which one Sarah Koenig, with the help of others, tries to identify whether someone was wrongly convicted of murder. The second series of Serial focussed on Bo Bergdahl, a prisoner of war who was captured under some shady circumstances, and subsequently released after years being detained. In this instalment Sarah Koenig focused on how Bo got into that hot mess, and how he managed to get out of it, and ultimately whether it could have been avoided.

There is rumoured to be a 3rd series of Serial, though this is still under the hat. Little information has been disclosed, though it is assumed to be available in 2018 at the earliest.

I decided, on the back of this, to listen to S-Town; by the same producers of Serial but hosted by a chap rather than the oddly intoxicating 'yankee' tones of Sarah Koenig. This focuses on a murder, a non-conviction, attempts to expose the truth behind this and a branch-off story which focuses on a rather eccentric man whom instigated the aid of the producers.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Serial and S-Town, but both are currently on hiatus so I'm looking for a similar fix to the above.

In short, any suggestions of what I could/should listen to next?

Thanks in advance! :)

bit late, but maybe you're still looking.

I love a good podcast, so i'm always up for a podchat.

For comedy, i like:
Twinnovation
The Complete Guide to Everything
Russell Brand on Radio X

for movies:
Collider
The Nerdist

for history
Myths & Legends
Hardcore History

Never too late! Thanks for taking the time to disclose your podcast subscriptions! I'll have to look into the suggested, though I'm not a huge fan of Russell Brand, in all honesty. :p

I could probably get a bit more into the historical podcast side of things.

If you want comedy, look no further than 'My Dad Wrote a Porno'. The title is somewhat self-explanatory, whereby a chap's father has written erotic literature, namely 'Belinda Blinked'. It's then read and digested by the son and two of his friends (one of whom is Alice Levine - Radio 1 host). It is as hilarious as it is cringeworthy - note; NSFW.

If you like comedy then check out Adrift with Geoff Lloyd and Annabel Port. It it a new podcast but is great. Geoff used to be on Absolute Radio and some of their podcasts are still available. Give them a shot

Managed to find a source for old Virgin Radio days with Geoff and Annabel. These are of the great early days when they where on late. Annabel used to to a spot called "The Dirty Book At Bedtime " where Annabel in a dreary tone tries to read an excerpt from a saucy novel. It will make your sides ache it is so funny. Anyway hope it is what you may like
