Have to agree that I'm very curious as to whether it's the same fibres, except the colour, as the regular Plissoft.

I think its the colour that has changed and nothing else, looks good though.

When it's back in stock I'll try to snag one. Of course, that's contingent upon reviews of those in the first sold out lot. Perhaps it's an attempt to appeal to those wanting a more "badgery" feel(?).

The MÜHLE black fibre brush is superb. Remember, with synthetic brushes color is meaningless as it's merely aesthetic.

I like the idea of synthetics not posing as badgers, ok this is sort of black badger I guess but still in my book way better than the normal Plisson look.

I agree, why oh why? It would imo have looked so much better.

I tried to source this type of knot from Virginia Sheng and Ace Shaving a couple of month ago, the idea was home made brushes to get both colour and shape my way, but no luck.

I inquired of Italian Barber and this is their reply:

It's a different fiber, slightly more backbone than the normal plissoft knot.

Well, looks like a purchase is in order.
