Photo of the day

TSR-MF-01.jpg

On the way home tonight - your classic Glasgow tenement - the close. The communal stairwell - the tradition is that the longest resident gets to choose the colour scheme. Nice in this case. I've found that since getting the first phone with a camera that is good enough that I am happy to put my name to the pictures it takes - it doesn't, I do - it has been to some degree liberating - I don't need to be geared up to take pictures. I've found I am sort of doing a picture a day with it. A visual diary. I still haven't sussed how to hold the bloody thing straight though. I realised that the camera in the phone shoots in a 5:4 ratio - or thereabouts - maybe 6:7 - like sheet film in large or medium format. Nice. Maybe that's why it seems so harmonious to me. Yours - I.

As far as communal stairways go this is a very nice one, very nice indeed. Love the window and the colour scheme is practical . For a phone camera it's a lovely shot Iain. P.

Nice contrast of darkness and light in that shot Iain.
