An infection of some kind, quick course of antibiotics and all was good. Lovely people at Whitby Hospital, we had two visits in the end. This one and my Pop needed 7 staples in the noggin. Apparently 89 is a little old for backward somersaults down concrete steps.

Thanks to the wonders of the shopfitters art, you could be forgiven for thinking the store had been on this site for a hundred years or more. In fact, when this photo was taken, the firm had only recently moved from its former premises in Jermyn Street, just up the road. NB: The Red Lion pub, immediately next door!
