Would you drop that change on on a razor tho. Seeming you profess you don't spend money lol
I do spend money. On good value, high quality items. The Merkur 45 for example. This month I went on a spending spree. 6 bottles of Tüff after shave for €20, a glass tub of Tabac Original shaving soap for €10 and Faena Mastic soap for 3 quid shipped. I need to stop. I'm willing to spend £100+ on an Ebor razor without any hesitation, but I haven't seen one ever. Phew...

Lol fickle or is it froogle

My last shave with this lovely razor and i'll repeat the sentiment of so many before me. It will be missed. I'll now have to decide if I get a standard type L or wait for a adjustable or wait for the one I actually want the floating head. @Fergiebilly a lil birdy says you might have some going spare needing love. :)

So last shave my set up
  • Prep: hot water face wash
  • Pre: Zirh pre shave oil
  • Brush: 24mm Plissoft hot soaked
  • Soap: Phoenix & Beau Star Noir
  • Lather method: Fine lather bowl
  • Razor: Schick adjustible dailed to 5 & 7
  • Blade: Personna Stainless Steel
  • Shave: 3 pass WTG, XTG & ATG
  • Post: Cold water wash
  • Aftershve: Pinuard vanilla
  • Scent: Minotaure by Paloma Picasso
Another lovely shave with the adjustable injector. Started off with 5 and dialed up to 7 on against the grain to a lovely BBS shave.
One thing I will defo add for everyone using this razor is take all the time to play with the settings and reflex angles. And even with this light lil thing it mows down whisker. My only issue is reliability of blades. So I found both NOS and new blades touch and go. I had pull with the NOS schick and one of the personna blades. So wonder do all injector users have this issue with blades.

Will be meeting @Looney12345 on Thursday to hand over the razor and blades. All cleaned and sanitised wrapped and ready.

@riverrun will let you know on hand over

Folks that are Not Used to Injectors Can Damage or Partially Damage a Blade Very Easy when Loading it..They Often think that they Don't but Hey I have Seen it Time & Time Again..It Always Takes the Utmost Attention when Injecting a Blade even to the Experienced User..:D

How does this compare to in terms of other Schick razors?

I've used the E2 and L2 and found them to be very easy to use and instinctive, maybe a little too instinctive like a cartridge in my mind?

It's very similar to the L2. Pretty much all Schick injectors from Type I onwards have the same head (give or take a hydromagic lever or being adjustable) and are very similar.

Thanks @Mr Bigmem.
Enjoy, @Looney12345

First shave with the Schick Adjustable yesterday… Loaded up with a fresh Personna blade and didn't have any issues getting a new blade in. Put it on 4 to start with, started with one cheek and found it too mild, so straight up to 7 with it. 7 was better, the razor is incredibly maneuverable and you can whip around your face… I still found it quite mild though, even at 7! Two passes and a good finish, but not as good at the ATT S2 after the same two passes and the S2 had to deal with 6 days' growth! No irritations at all though and it was still an enjoyable shave. I'll be having another go with it for sure in the coming days J
