One Blade Core

Interesting that the original OneBlade v1 and v2, both have a lifetime/multi-generational guarantee. In comparison, OneBlade Core has a 12 month warranty. This could suggest OneBlade Core is less robust.

Looks a great razor - given that OneBlade is marketed as the best razor in the world, it appears odd: why would you build by definition, an inferior razor?

We don't know yet whether it will produce an inferior shave, they have built it to appeal to a wider audience and to sell more razors. No one would expect a lifetime warranty on any product costing $50, and 12 months is fairly standard.

A $50 (£39.50) razor in the USA costs the better part of £60 to my door here in the UK. The blades aren't that cheap either. £32.40 for 60 blades. The manufacturer recommends changing the blade every 1 to 3 shaves.
Cheaper than a cartridge system, possibly in the long run. To gain any popularity here they'll need a UK distributor.

Oneblade Core, don't waste your time.

I've been through a bunch of razors. I really enjoy my Oneblade V1. Excellent shave, easy to use. Right up there with my ATT H1. The ATT H1 with a Gillette Spoiler or a Kai is about as good as it gets for me. YMMV. The Oneblade V1 is a really close second.

The Oneblade Core is no where near as good as the original. The blade is loose inside the head (slides back and forth). You have to take short strokes with a lot of buffing, and the final shave is no better than a cartridge. I received my Core this past Friday and have four shaves under my belt. To some this may not be enough, for me, I knew the original version was excellent after the first shave. Again, just my opinion, YMMV.

I speculate this was developed to go directly after cartridge shavers, and never intended to impress those of us who enjoy the journey and not just the destination. Mass produced for supermarket shelfs. I'll throw it in my travel kit, for $50.00 I would not be concerned if my luggage disappeared.

Mine arrived today without any custom fees, looking forward to using it in the morning. I must say I'm impressed with the customer service from the company. They were quick to respond and very helpful even though I was being a tad impatient. I'm impressed with the packaging and presentation and it looks to be of sturdy quality. It's not something I would of bought usually but life is to short not to try new things.

Hi Brad,
Good to hear it got there in the end. Any chance of a little review when you get chance?

Cheers
Rob
