Tried it this morning. Really enjoyed using it. Very slick and protective. Doubt I could justify buying a kilo as I probably couldn't use it in my lifetime. Lol.

It took me a year and I gave bits away to friends, oh and it had lost a lot of scent at the end.

I just got a vintage Plisson brush, size 14 in real horn, from a good friend. It is taking the place in my rotation of a small WWII Rooney boar brush, which has a lot of great history but is not very practical for building and applying lather.

Another Rooney, Best Badger this time. Washed and one test lather. seems quite floppy compared to other best badger brushes I have such as Maseto and Simpsons. It did create a superb lather using Monsavon.

Ordered some Bart's Balm late Friday evening and received on Tuesday.
I wasn't sure which scent to go for so hedged my bets and went with 2, the Amber and Moroccan Jasmin and the Cinnamon and Patchouli.
Thanks to Bart for the speedy dispatch and very generous discount to TSR members.
I haven't had the opportunity to try either yet but really looking forward to using one of them at the weekend. They smell great and the wife thinks they're "ok".

Mr perfume kreed oil and oud wood, Cella aftershave, razorock emperor soap and a generous pif of some blades and a badger brush. No more for a while. Who am I kidding? Lol.

Another bottle of Thayer's Witch Hazel; this time Lemon scented. Bought from a pharmacy during my recent trip to USA.

It's a mild dry Lemon scent, quite manly and not sweet. Might be a contender for my favourite against the cucumber version.

A few little bits over the past few days:

L'Occitane Cade soap c/w bowl & bag. Bag requisitioned by fruit of loin #2 for make up duties.

Leather holster thingy for razor transportation purposes. Must get around to doing some traveling so razor can be thus transported.

A sort of mini mug tree wotsit to hang a couple of razors and brushes from. Currently hanging 2 razors and one brush, which is making my OCD itch slightly, must acquire another brush...

Another bottle of Nivea Sensitive balm, and because Superdrug are doing 2 for 1 on Nivea, a bottle of 2 Phase ASL, which you have to shake to mix it up to make it work, but it looks way cooler separated into its blue and clear constituent gloops.

Ming Shi 2000S Futur clone. Seems solid enough. I might start on setting #6 and work my way down, just for shits and giggles. Except we all know I'll do what everyone does and start on #3. Came with a couple of packs of blades, who knows, one day I might get round to trying them, or not. Was approximately the same price as:

A bottle of Old Spice. I'm a dad, have been for 16 years, so I'm allowed to wear dad smellies. Might get some Brut or Denim next.
