I don't know anything about this razor and this is my first shave with it, brb.
Well not bad, a touch on the mild side, pick ups required. I'll try the Single Ring top cap on it tomorrow to see if that makes a difference.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Charcoal Face Wash and Proraso white
Razor: Gillette NEW LC
Blade: NOS Gillette Blue Extra 1963 (#5)
Brush: Maseto 24mm finest
Soap: D.R. Harris Windsor
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea Soothing Balm.

A bit of a rough start to my shave today, the first two passes were tugging and I managed one weeper. The last pass ATG was okay and it was quite a close shave in the end. I guess five shaves from the Gillette Blue was maybe a bit too far.

First shave with the Windrose OC Slant, for a first shave it did a good job, but I think it may have more potential. The shave was smooth and close but it did take 3 passes and I found by pass 3 that I was actually applying a bit of pressure. The result was fine no irritation, no nicks or weepers despite the added pressure.

Almost bought one of those a month back. I really like how it looks....but I bought the closed version as it is supposed to be more aggressive. I havent managed to use it yet as last month was SE and now this month is supposed to be OC! The way things are......it will probably be DEcember before that happens!

Not the best of shaves today. I replaced the top cap to see if that would make this razor more efficient, I should have changed the blade as well. The forth outing for this carbon blade and it was very tuggy.
All in all, not the worst shave I've had but an extra pass was needed and pick ups.

Pre Shave: Hot Shower + L'Oreal Pure Power Charcoal Face Wash and Proraso white
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Astor (#1) Unknown vintage
Brush: Vulfix 404
Cream: Real Shaving Co.
Post: Alum Block, Cold water and Humphreys Witch Hazel
AS: Nivea 2 phase.

Why have one Fatip OC when you can have two! I really like my Fatip Piccolo and spotted this Grande for a good price and decided why not. First shave and apart from the odd (rough?) feel of the end of the handle it did not disappoint. The Astor blade was excellent, very sharp but very smooth, 3 passes were almost too much today, by that I mean I was in danger of getting some irritation as I could feel how close the last pass was, but all was good post shave. The Astor blades are of unknown vintage, they have a barcode on the back and it says made in E.U. if these were made in Greece, which I am sure they were then it has to be post 1981. The interesting bit is the outer carton says "Specially Exported to Syria". I have tried the currently available Astor blades before which were excellent and these seem to be excellent too, and even better I have another 99 of them.

Birch Tar Soap
3P Preshave Cream
Palmolive Cream with added Birch Tar and Cade EOs
Little Wren Pottery Bowl
Shavemac Badger Brush
Merkur 11C Razor with a Permasharp Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
Arko Classic Cream
Old Spice Noir AS
Oudh Khalifa EDP

The 'cheap as chips' creams often punch above their weight....but the scent is often lacking. As I seem to be in Birch Tar mode with my shower soap, I added a couple of drops of Birch Tar and Cade EOs to give a wonderful earthy, burnt wood scent. The razor/blade combo gave a fantastic 3 pass BBS shave. The Oudh Khalifa completed the feel good factor and I am now set up for an enjoyable day off work:D

First time out with a Piccolo and I now see why it has so many fans.
For less than £20, with a free pack of Voskhod and 10ml of Lea Balm you get a great little razor.
Not as smooth as some of my vintage OCs but it's money well spent imo.
