New Maseto brush

Today I've started breaking in my 24 mm finest Maseto. I've lathered up some Proraso green cream and left it. A few hours later I found out that the brush ate all the lather. There was nothing left inside the knot. Did the same happened to you too?
To me, the smell reminds me of chemicals rather than wet dog. Do you get the same?

What says you @wayne mattison ? You're the Maseto brush guru. Love its looks and a knot that size for the money is daylight robbery. Nice and soft? Badger pillow on the face? This is a very bad place......:D

I say go for it, resale is quick and easy no one seems to get stuck with one if they don't like them. Personally I love them. The knots are great the handles are good enough for anyone solid and weighty. for the price they are the complete package. I'm certain you will like it just as much as I love all of mine.
 
@wayne mattison what say you, good sir, as regards to fan or bulb? After the five years I've been at this malarky, I've convinced myself that I prefer fan but it's so damn long since I tried a bulb maybe I should allow the dark side to creep in? What I'm basically saying is, I'm an indecisive pratt and can someone make the choice for me....:oops:
 
Hahaha, not a problem. You will not get a classic shaped bulb or fan they are more of a hybrid shape. None of mine or true fan or bulb shaped so I doubt it will make much difference which one you go for mate.

Now then, I'm a bit of a plain Jane ivory kinda chap but the horn has piqued my interest i.e. I've got the horn for a horn brush. The pictures on ebay are hardly vivid, expansive and detailed HD so who has one and what do they think of the horn in the flesh so to speak. Realistic? Pretty? Does it compare well to other brands offering? Sorry chaps, tight Scotsman unwilling to part easliy with money.
