Mùhle rocca

I still find this razor not too smooth and with a feather blade it was awful. Skin rash cuts. Maybe the angle differs from other razors. Any thoughts of those who find it a smooth shaver?

Some love the Rocca but you are not alone. I've read a few people have used it without any success.
I tried it with a number of blades and I just couldn't get on with it. I've since sold it.

It's superb with a feather for me, smooth and efficient. I don't know what advice I could give, it sounds like you know what you're doing. Sell it and move on, plenty of razors out there not to worry about it.

I'm finding the rash bit on my cheeks, I have had three uses so far and hoping I can get it dialed in with practice and familiarity. Everywhere is smooth but my cheeks have a slight rash and micro-abrasion to them

I remain struggling with the Rocca and for me an R89 gives a much more satisfactory shave. I still think the Ikon closed is a more aggressive razor but doesn't result in the damage the Rocca delivers.

I can see it being moved on when home the next time as it is not for me.

Maybe those who love the Rocca can tell how to use it. One reviewer said about the angle...put it to your face and away you go!.....

Maybe those who love the Rocca don't have your face.

Seriously, if it's not for you, sell it and move on. I have done the same with some widely loved razors in the past; they're just not for me.

For me, it's been my #1 razor in 2017.

Pitralon forever - Real pens have a nib - If it doesn't tick, it's not a watch.

At last this razor is giving me comfortable super close shaves , only Two passes. Even a feather blades as wonderful today. Why we this might be case before? The pins to hold the blade seems short, so maybe the blades before were not seated correctly.

I love the Rocca - I was lucky to get my hands on a R96 in January 2017 and I also got a R95 in December 2017.

The Rocca is possibly the best DE razor I have used, notably when paired with a Gillette Silver Blue. I appreciate that YMMV. I find it easy to find and maintain a good shave angle. Good balance with razor, also.

I have not compared in detail v1 and v2, but my initial impression is the design and build look the same. I agree with @Eeyore68 if it Rocca does not work for you, it may be worth selling on and trying something different. The only reason that I am not making more use of the Rocca at the moment, is that I am loving my SE shaves, unfortunately to the exclusion of DE.

I hope that you can get it working, as I feel this is going to become, if not already, a classic razor.

I'll have to try mine with a GSB. Fortunately got a few floating around! It's also good with a Nacet and I quite enjoyed using a Rapira stainless in my last outing with it!

Hi, yes, I suddenly find Rocca gives wonderful shaves, smooth and very close and my skin has never felt better. No cuts at all now. Even a feather blade is comfortable! Maybe It needs the longer lather I have given the soap. However, I did notice that the pins holding the blade are short so maybe the blades were previously not seated correctly. My face still feels soft after 8 hours and no balm needed. Using Meißner Morrocan just now.
