January 2018 Acquisitions

The brush finally arrived, and it was worth the 4.5 month wait!

Wolf Whiskers fluted 'Pi Day' handle with a Shavemac 25x50mm 2 band D01 flat top knot.

I've just given it a couple of palm lathers, and the knot feels very luxorious with great backbone.

I'll probably test lather a couple of more times to get rid of some of the badger funk before using it for a shave.

Did you have the handle made by Peter then shipped to Bernd to fit knot?

Mail Call:- Three package arrived today and I'm looking forward to used the GEM Micromatic Clog-Pruf after my last shave tomorrow with the Bullet Tip, not quite happy about the PAA Starling SE because there's a small error when loading the bloody GEM blade. I'll so see how this shave using the blue and yellow plate soon, because I'm desperate to used the GEM Micromatic Clog-Pruf.

Today I have taken receipt of;
Floid Black
Prep aftershave balm
Thierry Mugler Pure Havane
Rockwell blade guard

1. Floid Black - sweet, fruity. I'd envisage it's as good as the other Floid offerings I've tried previously.
2. Prep. - have only tried between my fingers to have a quick whiff. Feels great! Very mentholated, fingers are still quite chilly. Dries and absorbs quickly, looking forward to using it after a shave.
3. Mugler Pure Havane - sweet cherry-Tobacco fragrance with that Mugler “DNA” lingering in the background. Punches well above it's price.
4. Had this cheap from Stuart @Shaving Station. Fits the Muhle Rocca perfectly and the 6C, as to be expected. Bit snug on the Parker Variant but I won't lose sleep over that.

Thanks @pjgh for 1. and 2! :)
