I took this one a while back when out and about. Spotted this Porsche that looked like it was just out of the wrapper. What I found interesting is my fat finger encroaching on the lens created a not too terrible effect.

Another iPhone shot this time while I was waiting to pick Mrs Audiolab up from the local train station.

While in the car park I had 5 minutes to wait and just as I thought about reaching for the phone to amuse myself I realised I was parked in just the right position that shows Wemyss Bay Railway Station's magnificent structure. You start to take things like this for granted and now and again they jump back out at you.

There are some fabulous images of this very old station taken by the millions of people who have passed through it, search on Google images for "wemyss bay train station"

Just receive one of those add on lens for my iPhone. Fish eye; wide angle and macro. Surprised how well made it was for10$us.
Would show photos but ... I'm still blocked from doing so.

Loved the photos of Lymington Quay. When I was a university student (back in the early 70s) I worked during the long vac as a boatman at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club. My job was to ferry the yachtsmen back to their boats - especially if they had lunched or dined too well! I spent many a happy afternoon and evening in the Ship! If I remember there was also a ship's chandler in the same row of shops as the Ship or maybe just opposite - it is a long time ago!

I was living with friends at Brockenhurst at the time and used to hack around the New Forest first on a BSA Bantam D7 175cc and then after i passed my test on a Norton Dominator 99 600cc. The following year I worked as a porter at Chewton Glen!

Your photos really took me back!!

Interesting! We first moved to the New Forest in the 70s. Stayed temporarily near the Quay in Lymington. The yachts were so noisy during the night when the wind got up - incessant clanging of metal halyards. We soon moved to Brockenhurst where we lived for many years before moving to Sway - a much quieter village. The Chewton Glen is still going strong.

Another Brockenhurst memory?

Yes indeed! and also a pub where you could play old fashioned skittles in the alley out the back! Funnily enough the friends that I stayed with Brockenhurst moved to Sway, got married in Lymington Registry office and had their reception at The Ship! She was from Keyhaven.

Certainly impressive pictures. I took a few photos with my Alcatel 2010 clamshell phone and they weren't bad, but no where as good as an iPhone.

I was also thinking that digital cameras, apart from SLRs, will become things of the past.
