Honing: changing tape between stones

When honing a straight razor with tape on spine do you change tape between stones?

Depends on which stone and how many strokes. Basically if it looks warn, change it.

For example, if you are doing a full nagura progression on a Jnat there will probably be no need but if doing a heavy bevel set on a 1200 grit DMT you should probably change before going to the finer grits.

I Personally Usually Change Tape Between Hones as a Constant..For All the Time it Takes..

I actually try not to unless the tape looks very damaged. otherwise you end up with lots of tiny micro bevels. It probably doesn't make too much of a difference unless the tape is really damaged
