Hi all,

I have been wet shaving for years but with cartridges and tinned foam. I have picked up a brush and soap and am currently trying to decide between a Parker 99R or an EJ DE89L as a razor suitable for a newbie. What say you?

Hi Antonio and firstly a warm welcome to TSR.

In answer to your question and as a fellow newbie I do believe that the general consensus between the two would be the EJ 89.
It is a difficult one because others would perhaps say the Parker.
Just to confuse you a little more, may I also suggest you have a look at the Merkur 34c HD.
This is the razor I decided upon and I am so pleased I did.
Any razor mentioned would be a great choice.
