Thank you all for the advice. I had my first tentative shave earlier, no nicks or cuts (hooray!) I've been practicing beforehand with making a lather so that went well, but I can see that i will need to pay attention, as i caught myself almost dragging down my face like i would with a cartridge.

Welcome to TSR.
Try the Astra SP first and use as a benchmark blade. I would leave the Vidyut Supermax blades till last as they are my worst performer.

Hi Chris and welcome to TSR.

My advise is: that razor is not really a razor for a beginner... it's one of the most aggressive razors. You need to get some practice first, learn the techniques before using such an aggressive razor.
