Handles, handles and more handles

In case you, like me, sometimes 'forget' about Etsy there is a healthy amount of shaving gear on it.

Handles being one of them, check out these examples:

RazorsAndMore (based in the UK) is selling a number of well known razor handles right now such as Trident and a full line of Windrose handles;

Windrose (all made in 316 stainless steel)
The handles range from £13.30 up to £27.70
(I rather like the bamboo ones)

Even a Darwin inspired handle that I think looks awesome:

He recently branched out into chrome/gold plated handles - and making some in aluminum:

Trident
He also carries a limited qty of the LE "Albion" Titanium handle by Trident.
There will ever only be 100 made and they are all uniquely number on the base.
If available - you can select the numbered razor you want.
Will set you back about £57

Little known Marley Machine Works out of Canada is making some stainless steel handles as well. I have to say I'm rather impressed by his machining, design and prices.

They are handmade and he takes design requests
I quote:
"I can custom make any design you want, message me and we can talk about what length,diameter and styling you want. "

Scott, the owner/machinist also added:
"I can machine any type of handles out there and I can machine them out of any metal anybody wants. I make them out of 316 stainless, aluminum, titanium, brass, copper or brass."
Now that's an interesting idea....

Example ($40):

These custom handle examples are $30:

If you're more of a brass guy than stainless steel there is FM407ManGoods (US based) that can make you one of these substantial brass handles for $39

On the other side of the material spectrum we find FrugalShave that, amongst other things, creates these Star Wars inspired shaving contraptions:

A full, plastic lightsabre razor for $30

Or..you can replace the knob on your Merkur progress for $10:

...in any of these designs;

Any one have - or like - any of the handles above? :)

I like the Darwin inspired handle. The rest, not so much. I'm a Star Wars fan, but I think I would like to keep Star Wars and shaving separate hobbies. :)

That last photo should have been cropped. Seeing that disembodied foot in the lower right corner is a bit creepy and unnecessary.

Or you can make one yourself. The nearly finished take on a Bulldog from brass bar. There is still some final machining (far left end needs taking off) and polishing (some edges to round off), but generally nearly there. 17mm dia x 87mm, weight unknown but would guess around 70g.

It is not dissimilar to my previous brass handle, but someone who loaned it said it was a tad too long (but they did like it) so stayed with the same kind of design but shortened.
