Floid ... talk to me

Huh! I thought Floid black was supposed to be a more masculine scent ... not a lot masculine about Chypre Gourmand. Isn't it all pineapple and the womanly pong of ambergris? Shame, I might have been in for a bottle (of Floid black) until I read that. Reeking of oakmoss and castoreum, now that would have grabbed me ...

Have you tried Fine Platinum yet? That's pretty close to Aventus.

No, but I was made aware recently, while researching, that it was a close match. Thanks for pointing it out again, I had all forgotten. Problem with Fine is, alas, they're quite expensive. Floid black is relatively inexpensive to get on the other hand.

It's a shame, I really like Fine's XXX, so I'm guessing the Platinum has same performance.

Anything that pulls the panties off of the ladies must be considered masculine. Creed Aventus is such a scent. Hence, FLoid Black must be masculine :D I quite dig my own reckoning.

Fine Platinum £16.50 or Creed Aventus £170.00....as they say "do the math". :p

It's excellent and worth every penny. Highly recommend.

Well, in fact I'm not being completely honest, the touch of menthol is very subtle. Truth be said, I like Floid Black in its original form, this was just an experiment :)

I like it the way it is its good stuff that was part of the reason I chose this one over the others I have other aftershaves with menthol in :)

And one thing is for sure, it really does wonders to the skin, be it the Mentolado Suave, Vigoroso, or Black (Modern Fragrance on the black label).

As for the scent, I'm with you AnthH, Black is the best of them all. Of course, YMMV, as usual.

I see a hair tonic, too ... does anyone know, greasy or greaseless type?
The hair tonic is, to me not greasy, but I only use it while sunbathing on holiday, as a hair " suntan lotion". It also gives a good healthy appearance to the hair. I usually buy a small squirty bottle of the tonic, a suave and a vigoroso on my first day on holiday in Spain. They are widely available in most supermercados, but not in chemists or perfumeries, as they are considered as "common" because they are old school and local with no international cache
