Euthymol toothpaste, opinions?

The Marvis website is a fantastic example of how advertising can 'sex up' even the most relatively mundane products.

I don't know about you, but I want all seven of the flavours!

Went in to Morrisons last night, espied Euthymol and bought some for £1.80. I used it last night and this morning. Looks like Germoline, smells like Germoline and tastes like Dentyne Gum. I do actually quite like it, but spitting out bright pink froth for the first time was disconcerting.

As I recall from my childhood (distant memory) it looked, smelt and tasted like Germoline. The clincher, as you say, was spitting out frothy, pink gunk. Really peculiar they managed to sell it at all.

As a child, I would have hated this stuff, but as an adult, I rather like the taste.

I sell Euthymol at my pharmacy, should be readily available for independent pharmacies. We sell alot of the stuff

I used Euthymol for years and then it just disappeared, I now know why !! I also like Dentyne and used to eat Germoline as a kid....................I had some strange habits.......

Yeah good old Dentyne, picked this up in a sweet shop selling American stuff.

From what I've read, the taste has not changed a whit. The paste is not thick and 'gritty' anymore. It comes out of the tube looking like regular toothpaste.

I imagine the older formula resembled Marvis toothpaste in texture far more than it's current iteration. Marvis is more 'solid' than other toothpastes I've used.

All around, folks are dropping off with colds, sore throats and coughs. Me? Nope. Is that the magic thymol in action?
