English Wilkinson Sword

Paul L kindly sent me some blades to try, one of them was the English Wilkinson Sword, it's the most effective blade I have tried in my 1940s English Tech.

It's sharp and very smooth, much nicer than the modern German made ones.

Many thanks Paul for the blades, owe you one :)

Very nice blades, I find the Gillette Wilkinson Blades from India almost identical, just a touch thinner than the British made blades.

Another nice one is the Scottish Perma Sharp, smooth blade especially in the Rockwell.

You are very welcome Dave.

It's a shame they're thin on the ground these days.
I suppose variety is a good thing though.
There are plenty of blades to try yet !

I am quite happy with my Tech, i like trying new blades in the hope of finding 'the' blade, up to now it's the English WS you sent me.
Amazing as it might sound the Treet black works really well in my Tech but was shockingly bad in a Fatip and Fatboy, so I am keeping an open mind to trying new blades.

Treet blacks are great in my Tech clone, only issue with them is I only get two uses out of them before they start to rust.
