Chinese futur clone

As I don't have the Qshave I can't exactly say but I do have that other clone the NT Vigour close to two years now.

After finding that I like setting 3 on this razor I did try few blades.

I appreciate smoothness above all so for me at least it was the American made Personnas comfort (blue lab?).

4th shave this morning: I used my Progress setting this time 1.75, the sensation was very slightly rougher (even noisier, likely due to the gap) than with the Progress, but the Qshave aggressiveness is definitely in the same range as the Progress. No blood spots this time with the same Rapira super stainless. Hunch confirmed, YMMV (your Ming Shi may vary; that's not my joke), Qshave = poor man's Progress.

I got "Appache" blades with my clone, it's stated on the packaging that it's made by Persona; or are you talking about the "titanium" blades?
Mine are the Titanium blades - I've got mine loaded up with a Derby Extra at the minute but when that dulls in a shave or so, I'll trial the Titanium ones... if they're any good it would make for the 'starter pack' of the century! Add some Blue's Goat Milk shave soap and a cheapo boar brush and you're good to go at about a tenner!

Is it this Chinese soap which is supposed to be made in New Zealand?

I was tempted, but for nearly the same price, you can get very decent soaps (MWF, Tabac, etc).

But you're right, replace the soap by a Palmostick, take a £2 something Chinese synthetic brush, the Qshave, a Superdrug AS balm or lotion, and you get one of the very best starter kit ever.

We should, in hindsight, have had one thread for "too good to be true £2 Futur clones" and another for "£6 Futur clones". The really good £6 clones (mine's yet to arrive, but everyone seems to like them) may be drowned out by those of us who saw what looked like an amazing bargain.
