Cheap Lens Help

Afternoon all

I am an occasional user of a camera (photographer would be overstating my abilities way too much) and have an old Canon 400D with its bog standard lens. I also have a non-working 75-300mm lens that I prefer to use but it no longer auto focuses and just makes strange noises. I do not have the competence to manual focus yet so I am looking for a replacement. I am looking to spend no more than £100. Any ideas as to a potential source or lens

I'm afraid I'm a Pentax user, not a Canon user, but mpb.com and lcegroup.co.uk are good for second-hand lenses so you should be able to whittle down the options towards something to suit you. The links above should show canon-specific items.
