Brush drying competition

Tested max water my brush would hold after shave and result was about five times normal: 15g instead of 3g, not sure how long this will take to dry, five times as long? double?

Re capillary effect: boar or badger or synth, big or small, all my brushes seem to work the same, standing or hanging, I suspect I can safely go with the method I fancy.

It would be good to see which five you kept, Fido. I return to your old blog now and again and my Tubby is still going strong.

One sample brush I had made which has superb hair. One original New Forest 2201.( The first brush I released.) A New Forest Tubby. A Trumpers brush bought during a one off meet of TRS members in London. And a very old brush reknotted with a 19mm New Forest knot.

I'm puzzled.
I dried my 25mm MÜHLE synthetic when it was quite wet. Three times the normal water content. 7.5g rather than the more normal 2.5g
Humidity was around 50%, just like previously, but the temperature was 29C instead of 25C.
The brush was bone dry after 23 hours. The quickest drying time for this brush I have seen so far.
What's going on? The wetter the brush, the quicker it dries? Does a small increase in temperature really make such a big difference?

Re really wet brush: tested five times the water after shave, 15g instead of 3g, took about twice the time to dry.
