Best SE out there?

Is a Shake sharp considered a SE razor or as some would say a DE razor that only uses one side, what makes an SE an SE ? Is it that it uses one side only or because it uses one side only and uses the more rigid SE style blades?
I would welcome your comments.
This would also clarify what the correct term to use for those SE? razors that take half a DE blade. Thank you.
I would personally consider any razor that will only shave on one side and not the opposite one as an SE, even if the inserted blade is a DE and cuts both sides if one of the sides is concealed and not exposed to the face.

I consider a razor a SE if it uses a single edged blade. Busting a DE in half, does not an SE make.

That is just an opinion; there is no hard and fast rule of course. My reasoning behind that is the thickness of SE vs. DE blades, and the feel of them in use. I find SE blades to be exponentially more comfortable.

Thankyou for your take on this issue, I think I've put the cat amongst the pigeons here, there is certainly two camp's as far as this is concerned.
Where do I sit on this? I don't know! This is why I asked the question. :)

I would expect that for every one person who takes my approach, there will be one who takes that of our friend Kypros. [emoji1] It is semantics, really. I choose to refer to the type of blade. If we were simply counting number of cutting edges, then straights and shavettes would also be SE's. [emoji12]

Yup. Get an I1 and put twin blades in that bad boy.

Holy crap, that will do!

The ATT SE1 is the only SE razor I own, I don't think that I'll be trying another, as this razor produces the shave I'm after.
Smooth operator !
Hi, thinking of this razor too .Does it give a comfortable shave, and what blades do you use,
Thajks

Hello Roy , for me the SE1 is a superb razor and provides a nice smooth comfortable shave.
The blades I use are Kai mild pinks , Feather pro and the Proline P20 and all do a good job in the SE1.
The Kai pink are my favourite .
Thanks, I was thinking of buying a Feather, when I came across se razors.
