Best pre-shave

I long ago stopped using an off the shelf pre shave, I've tried the oils but they just made a mess of my brushes and sink, I've tried the creams , they kind of work but a little expensive, so all I use now is good old bloom water from my shave soap, after all it would have been dashed down the sink anyway.
I find it works a treat, rub it in to my stubble and then as its doing its work I whip up my lather in my bowl.
It's not for everyone but it works for me and saves me money and space. If you haven't tried it give it a go, save yourself some cash and stop waisting your bloom water. Happy shaving!
 
Somersets shave oil is good, I think its meant to replace cream or soap but it does nicely as a pre-shave. Smells good too, floral and herby, mostly rose. Peppermint oil gives it a nice cooling effect that chills right down!
 
Proraso's White line pre/post shave (tea tree and oatmeal) very good and use as a post shave also.
Dr K's Soap Co Peppermint shave oil - a few drops onto my shave soap and shave cream
Trying Dermatologica pre-shave stick (nice menthol scent) - not bad
TOBS pre shave gel : herbal, cooling but expensive
My favourites are Proraso and Dermatologica.
