Best pre-shave

My husband likes The Art of Shaving pre-shave oil in Sandalwood or Lemon. Anybody ever tried the Ocean Kelp scent they have?? Curious as to how that smells...
 
I was lucky enough t be given a bottle of Razorock Pre Barba. Cracking pre shave oil. I use it before every shave now. The tiniest drop is all that is needed. Getting some more when I run out in a year or so may prove difficult but I'll track it down. It has an odd fragrance to it. I get Banana, the wife cannot pin it down but says it isn't Banana. Oh well it smells nice whatever it is.
 
I got some Naugé from the supermarket but haven't used it yet for fear of it damaging my brush, can it cause a problem??
I like the look of the Trufitt and Hill pre shave oil but got other things to buy first and does it even work and what's the smell like??

I used the Truefitt & Hill preshave oil and I have to say the only thing it did was to leave a huge amount of gunk on the razor blade -- really horrible stuff to try and get off. It was easier to change the blade than try and get the mounds of oil, hair, soap/cream, and skin off the blade. I don't use it anymore, and I don't miss it at all.
 
I sometimes apply a couple of drops of argan oil before lathering. I generally don't bother but do find it worthwhile if shaving after working (or playing) outdoors. It has nothing to do with improving the lather (or 'glide'), mind.
 
Scored a bar of Nannies pre-shave soap to make up a parcel for free postage a while back. Turned out to be a good move. Smells great (Old Grey Bristle Test) and really softening and slippery
 
Late post to this thread but I have been a frequent user of Prorasso pre-shave cream and I rate it very highly (all colours); however, I've recently been using Myrsol Emulsion and had exceptional shaves...still testing it with different creams but I think it is fantastic stuff.
