Best badger brush for the money.

the difference between a 30 mm knot (measured at the base so would probably mount it 32 mm top of handle) and a 24 mm knot (measured top of handle) very easy to spot which one will make me more of a man :)

Yeah, seen that discussion before. I understand the hype on a 30mm silvertip from Maseto, but frankly, apart from the initial WOW, a huge knot might be difficult to enjoy everyday.

Maseto also do 24mm brushes. I've not tried one of Yaqi's but when Maseto knots are not that far behind a Shavemac it's tough not to recommend them. It's not hype when it's justified.

I haven't ever tried a super expensive Thater, Simpson, Shavemac etc, but I really can't see what it could do that my 30mm Maseto doesn't.

Currently using my trusty Kent silvertip which has been going for 30 years so well worth the investment.
I'm awaiting 2 Yaqi brushes bought from AliExpress for $30 each delivered. One 24mm finest silvertip and one 28mm synthetic tuxedo. Seem extremely reasonable considering the good reviews Yaqi brushes have been receiving. Will let you know how they stack up when they arrive.

You need to look for MS on eBay.com.
Another vote for Maseto here, great brush. The silvertip is good, the Finest has a bit more backbone and it's great too, amazing density.
Also FS is good, I think it's some kind of parent company. I have one FS silvertip for sale on the BST forum ;)
