Avitar mix ups!

this morning my avitar seems to have been mixed up and I now have an other members picture where mine should be, this is not the first time this has happened, is it a glitch in the system or is it down to my equipment? Many thanks, P.

I don't think it's the board software. Your avatar looked normal when I had my morning browse. Maybe I just missed it!

On the subject of avatars: What does one have to do to have an animated GIF image as an avatar?
I know it can be done because of @AlexNoodles' avatar, but it doesn't work for me...
It works on another forum using the XenForoâ„¢ software if you stare at my avatar for long enough...

Is there any reason why animated GIF avatars (like that of AlexNoodles) are animated on the user's profile page, but not when displayed next to a post by that user? It works fine next door using the same software. Just asking because my avatar is an animated GIF as well (though it's not as obvious as Alex's).
