aluminum handle

Hello all,

I am curious about the aluminum brush handles and would like to know from owners of such brushes if black aluminum oxide is an issue for them.
Does anyone know if the aluminum used in handles is anodized or not? Does it leave your hands black after use?

Thanks.

I have a Razorock 400, but that's black-coated anyway. My other aluminium handled brush is plain aluminium, and it doesn't have any anodising or oxidation.
I also have a lot of razors in aluminium; some anodised, some black-coated, and some plain aluminium (the latter including well-worn vintage Gillette Techs and a couple of Velvets). None of them has ever oxidised, or caused problems.

I have the black Razorrock 400 in Matte black.
Not sure if it's a coating or its anodised, either way no oxidisation.

I also have a couple of aluminium razor heads, again no oxidisation.

Cheeky plug - I will be listing my Razorrock 400 on BST at some point if you are interested. [emoji3]

The only worry is having black dirty hands every time we used an aluminum handle brush.
I am reluctant to buy such brushes if this is the case.
No other worries.
