AFTERSHAVE WITH A LONG LASTING SCENT

" The Veg " is like ' Fight Club ' for those of us who admire it Juan Manuel, the first rule is we don't mention it ...

Oops...:eek::rolleyes:

I ordered it a while ago... As they say (you know where) I wanted to say if I was among the chosen...

When it was delivered I tried it... a bit, just to see.... and then my wife got home...

- What's that smell?

- It's me, you like it?

- You!!?? The cat pee smell!!??

And so ended the story...

And there we go the perfect example of why we don't mention it...

Pitralon Classic
All of the Floids (Spanish and Italian)
Fresh-Up Original (lasts all day, unfortunately)
Vitos Dopobarba 400
Hâttric aftershave

Of those, the only one I definitely do not recommend is Fresh-Up Original. It smells like cat pee in an old lady's purse ;)

The reason i love this forum!, too much info..very meaningful info!. Thanks for sharing.

Once you start wishing nuclear longevity of your aftershaves, it's time to ditch them. I have a few lying around ...... TOBS Limes, Vera Wang, La Toja, Lacoste, etc ....... I just don't use 'em much anymore.

Tonight, after my shave, I splashed on a bit of of Thayers Witch Hazel ........ a touch of Nivea moisturiser ..... then followed it up with a couple of very controlled squirts of Lapidus Black.

Now, until such time as I shower and scrub it off, that stuff will be with me until June / July :D

Hard times, Simon...;):rolleyes::D

I'd forgotten about that ........ Keep an eye on Fleabay for bottles of Kouros Aftershave Toner ...... or 'Tonique Apres Rasage'.

They go for silly prices, but bargains can be had quite often. They're older vintage Kouros, so they still have that almighty kick :D

I've found that Extro Bay Rum, which I've recently purchased, has pretty decent longevity if used relatively liberally (I'm talking 12 drops rather than 8 - I use things lightly, really). The ingredients for what I believe is the old formulation are as follows;

Rum, Bay Leaves, Aloe Vera, Essential Oil of Tea Tree, Essential Oil of Sage, Essential Oil of Cypress, Essential Oil of Rosemary, Essential Oil of Juniper, Essential Oil of Cedar, Green Tea, Black Tea.

However, I believe the new formulation (which is what I have), aims to utilise many of the EOs used. I couldn't put my finger on a couple of the, initially heady, scents but could distinguish tea tree, rosemary and cedar. The more I use it, the more I like it! Very refined and leaves the skin feeling lovely and soft! I know the revision also contains castor oil and dimethicone which accounts for soft skin feel. I'm tempted to try out Extro's other offerings. It's far, far more complex than the cheap Boots bay rum, but worth the extra spend in my opinion.
