After shave balm or general moisturiser?

as the title really, what's your post shave ritual?

Can a general moisturiser be as good as a dedicated balm?

One thing I like to do is to rub a tiny bit of minty shaving gel (main ingredients = water, glycerine) onto my wet face and leave it to soak in. It's my cheap version of skin food.

Myrsol Emulsion is the best I've used pre or post shave. Can even be used as a shaving cream at a push.

Both.

I use Eufros Bálsamo, which is a very light aftershave balm, and a heavier SPF moisturiser during the day or rosehip oil before bed.

There are a few I really rate. The best I've tried is probably L'Occitane Cade. I've only tried a sample but it's a definite purchase for me.
BBA (British Barber Association), Myrsol Emulsion and Dove sensitive are great too.

Faena balm for after the shave, then later sometimes slap on some nivea, the standard blue tub not the shaving gear, the nivea is great if you suffer razor burn.
