Sorry chaps but that’s feckin’ boggin’! Besides, I’ve got a border terrier with a radioactive arse that glows in the dark! Stinky wee fartin’ bugger, so he is. Ooft.

A Review of the Supply SE for People New to Safety Razors

To someone new to DE or at least more traditional shaving, you should consider the Henson Mild SE. Investigate it online but it is as ‘idiot proof’ a DE option as I imagine one could buy. Investigate it online and do imagine yourself using it with great success as I firmly believe you could...

Russian PPI produced Blades vs China / India variants

Honestly chaps, if you haven’t tried the humble Lord Silver Star, you may be missing out. A criminally underrated blade that is both very sharp and delightfully smooth. It is also very inexpensive.

Very much so. Surprised that I like the beefier, longer handle and delighted to be using a 2-piece. An ‘89 head with the convenience of a Merkur-style 2-piece and all wrapped up in Mühle’s gorgeous finishing. Yeah, it’s a keeper.

    Active Reggie's Razors Jupiter Passaround

I sooo want one of these but I’ll have to use it a few times force before I can apply to Matron for release of funds from the ward petty cash. I keep telling her that razors aren’t petty but she won’t have it. Threatens me with caustic soda bowel cleansing if I get too excited. Honestly, ruddy...

The head looks great too. A traditional looking shave angle. What’s the gap/exposure, if I may make so bold? And of course, how did it shave? I’ll go away after this, I promise:ROFLMAO:…

The only Russian blade I truly love is the Nacet. Polsilver, SI and GSB are pretty decent but not a patch on the Nacet nor are they worthy of the German Personna. I love Silver Stars and if it was my only blade, nary a complaint would you hear. Many Lord blades are way better for me nowadays...

    Flaky cheeks

I never used to rinse afterwards but the good people of this parish educated me accordingly and it makes a big difference. These days, I just keep the alum in the unlikely but possible event of a wee nick or stubborn weeper. Thanks @havings. :sneaky:(y)

Can’t help you on the blue vs white choice but I’d think the Nivea you bought will be pretty good. Bart’s Balm is a favourite of many. Google it. (y)

    Flaky cheeks

Yep, alum can be very drying. You might want to try the Proraso white after shave balm instead. Before you spend any money I’d cut out the alum.
