Does anyone now only own one razor?

I don't have one razor, per se, but I only use one - the rest is there for.. .reasons... I dunno :D But the one I'm using everyday for every occasion, more or less, is a Gillette NEW from the 1930s. I have sold a lot off, because this NEW does it all for me.

    Mühle After a Year

It's not a scientific research on my part, only from what I have experienced over the years with my brushes. The one tuxedo was butter silky smooth when new but after 6 months it was quite scratchy compared to a replacement knot. Perhaps I use'em like I hate'em? :)

    Mühle After a Year

Many synthetic brushes break their fibres from (hard) use, which in the longer run makes them more prickly and perhaps even uncomfortable. It doesn't have to mean that a new one is better - it may just be non-broken/defective. I have, and have had, a few plissofts where this exactly is the...

    Rockwell 6S + stand

Forgot..! The Rockwell sheath is included as well as a pack of Gillette Nacet blades - they go so well in that razor. Bids are of course a welcome spice to the thread, as long as they're within reason. Thanks! :)

    Rockwell 6S + stand

Hi all! I'm thinking of selling my Rockwell 6S. I have the original stand and box as well, all mint condition. I'm posting from Denmark and prefer payment via Paypal. I'm thinking of 95£. Paypal fees, shipping and handling included. Anyone interested?

    Bowl or face

I face lather every work day morning with an Arko stick. I get the absolute best lather (which is amazing) when I face lather that soap. Everything else on the weekends, I use a bowl and a soap in puck form. For some reason I get the best soap from pucks when I bowl lather them. I'll soon force...

Is improving the technique a myth?

Without sounding condescending, come back in a year and tell us you haven't refined your skills :) You'll master your skills in a way that when you look back you'll ask yourself what you were thinking back then.. haha. I should know, I've been there. I was a master after a short while. Now...

What Watch Are You Wearing Today?

It has nothing to do with the watch itself, but everything to do with the company and brand, Shinola. Just saying, not judging. I haven't owned one myself, but from what the great great interwebs tells, i basically boils down to false marketing and a pricing that's ridiculous compared to what...

    Efficiency of a Gillette NEW

It sure does! I haven't sold my Rockwell 6S yet (it is for sale though), but come to think of it, I guess it makes zero sense to sell that, loose a bit on it and then "invest" in a Karve.. materials aside, the concept and idea is exactly the same. Thanks, guys!

    Efficiency of a Gillette NEW

That is one swell looking piece! Wow... but also a lot of dough if it's not better... Maybe it's all in my mind, but my constant quest for a modern something is of fear that the vintage one should break.. silly, aint it?

    Efficiency of a Gillette NEW

I was hoping such razor existed..but it might be in my mind, because my brass Gillette's will sure outlast me for good. Ohh, wont be selling mine either.. precious pieces, they are. :) Had one - tore my face completely to pieces.. ouch! I wanted to like it though. I always thought that...

    Efficiency of a Gillette NEW

Hello, Long time since I last posted, but a thought popped to my mind... I absolutelly love the performance of a Gillette New or New Improved. I'm amazed at how much stubble they can remove in one and/or two passes, no matter if it's everyday or several days have passed. All with ease and zero...

    Linux users and/or developers?

Been running many different distros since 2001, mainly Mandrake when it was da bomb, but have for many years settled on Ubuntu after a shorter period with Debian. Now running Ubuntu Mate on my old X220 Lenovo and it runs like a charm. Parents are also running Ubuntu and have for years. Since I...
