    Tedalus

I've always said that the obscenely rich should have a mechanism to dispose of their income. This razor fulfills that ideal. Pretty much guaranteed you can get a better shave with something very much cheaper, but that's not the point. A £20 Casio will be more accurate than a Rolex SubMariner...

Blade disposal slots and disposal of used blades. Some thoughts.

Luckily for me, I'm diabetic, so get a 'sharps' box for injection pens, old blades go in same box...

What happens to ProRaso shave repair gel if left abandoned!

One of the reasons I dipped out of this forum was it's total unreliability for me to receive 'notifications' of updated threads. the last email I got was the 11th June, and this thread has been hopping ever since LOL Oh well, see you all in another few years... :p

What happens to ProRaso shave repair gel if left abandoned!

Unusual that a product deteriorates so badly, especially when the lid is replaced as tight as possible, so in theory, oxygen shouldn't be able to get into it to change it's chemical composition that dramatically.

What happens to ProRaso shave repair gel if left abandoned!

I just discovered a 10ml tube of ProRaso shave repair gel in the back of a cupboard, probably there for about 8 to 10 years! I went to squeeze it to see if it was still OK to use. It wasn't LOL It had turned solid, and on cutting the tube open, the smooth gel and turned into solid crystals. It's...

    Good riddance to DE shaving!

I'm just curious, where on earth did you get the advice to start of with an R41?? Honestly, it's like putting a set of 'L' plates on a Ferrari! There are many experienced shavers that wouldn't dream of using this razor, known as, 'the beast'! It is a very aggressive razor, (which I have 2...

Cant for the life of me get rid of these razor bumps, please help

Razor bumps, like climate change will evoke different 'cures'. Ask 100 people the cause of climate change and you'll get 100 different answers. My 'cure' for razor bumps is Kiehls Razor Bump relief. Now unfortunately, the idiots discontinued it last year, but you can still pick up the odd one...

Rediscovered an old friend, and she gave a great shave! 2011 R41

When I started proper shaving over a decade ago, like many, I went overboard and bought enough blades for a few lifetimes, and enough razors to shave a small army. Yesterday I went through my collection, and came across my trusty 2011 R41, which I haven't used in years. This morning I soaped up...

    Best and Worst DE Blade

I just bought a pack of 'Shark' as a filler on an order to get more discount! I have to report back that by far, this is the worst blade I have ever tried. I'm a seasoned DE shaver for over a decade and can use the most aggressive razors, but I used this blade on a simple 3 pass, on 2 separate...

Can you identify my 4 razors - I've forgotten what they are LOL

I definitely did buy a Maggards razor a few years back, and can't identify one in the other razors I have, I also remember 'wanting' a stainless steel head, though don't know why now LOL OK, answer now accepted, it's a Maggards! Thanks Paul...

Can you identify my 4 razors - I've forgotten what they are LOL

You've jogged my memory on a couple of things. The first being a redesign of a razor to make it milder. I have 2 x versions of the R41, the original 2011 version (a real beast) and a dumbed down version (2013) which is barely OK. The stainless steel comment, from memory, I think I bought a razor...

Can you identify my 4 razors - I've forgotten what they are LOL

Many thanks Paul, hopefully, No.1 will come to you eventually LOL I have to admit, that Merkur 37c 'slant' is absolutely one of my favorites! I remember it took a bit getting use to when I got it years ago, but it's a joy to use...

Can you identify my 4 razors - I've forgotten what they are LOL

I grew a beard 1st week of lockdown, and just shaved it off today. However, one side effect of not having used my razors for so long, I have literally forgotten what they are! I have another 10 or so which I can identify (hard to forget a FatBoy!), but these last 4 have me stumped, can anyone...

Wilkinson cut throat razor - waste of money?

Well, it arrived today (excellent 2 day service from Wilkinson) and on opening it, I was pleasantly surprised at my £12 purchase, (please don't give Boots £18!). It felt nicely weighted with a proper wooden handle and metal shaft. I lathered up the edges of my beard, looked in the mirror, and...

Wilkinson cut throat razor - waste of money?

Oh well, having grown a beard in celebration of lockdown, not a total waste of money then as I can accurately shape it LOL
