Giesen & Forsthoff Timor 1350 - Anyone own this beast?

The 1350K (open comb) got my attention quite some time ago. Common sense prevailed at the end though, as it is not wise to embark in a quest to try every DE in the marker. That said, I would be interested to read opinions on these closed and/or open comb razors.

ATT M2 base plate for R2 base plate (or H2 or ATT top cap)

Hello Gentlemen! I would like to trade my ATT M2 base plate for your ATT R2 base plate. I may also consider a trade with an ATT H2 base plate or an ATT top cap (cap for these plates, not a slant cap). Base plate (or cap) must be in same (mint+) condition. Each party pays Registered shipping...

New Mühle stainless steel razor 'Rocca'

Very useful info @wayne mattison. I like more aggressive razors (I use among others the Fatip OC v2 and the Variant at 4 and 5). Great info also from @Eeyore68 and the rest of the folks, much appreciated. Interesting info regarding the threaded stud also, as @carbold mentioned that is press...

New Mühle stainless steel razor 'Rocca'

Those of you who have the Rocca: How aggressive/efficient is the razor please? Let's say, compared to a Rockwell or a Parker Variant or any ATT that you may have used? Thanks!

    Modern open comb razors

Giesen and Forsthoff (Timor) in Germany have an open comb model -the 1350K, the 1353K and the 1354K. Presumably the head is the same and the difference is in the handles. I have no personal experience with this model though although I have been tempted to buy one in the past.

    Aggressive razors

Not the smoothest head for me, so I can't really comment. It would be great if you could try before you buy :)

Synthetic, are people warming up to it?

After many years of using boar and (a few) badger brushes, now I use synthetics exclusively. The price/performance is great and they are care free. My most used synthetics are Simpsons CH2, Plissoft, Omega S10065, and Edwin Jagger 25mm. They are all great for me.

    Seems I'm back again...

Welcome back. If you decide to give DEs another shot, you can have a look at Rockwell 6s or 6c.

    slant razors

This is my experience with slants so far: iKon X3 (milder) ATT S1 (mild) ATT S2 (less mild and more blade sensitive) Maggard Slant (medium aggressive) Merkur 37 (aggressive) German 37 (almost the same as the Merkur) I use the first three for the most part, along with Rockwell 6S (#4 or #5...
