Weird I never noticed them before, my '48 US Aristo has them, but my UK #22 don't. The #16,15 & 21 have different mechanisms. It looks to be part of the centre bar, so when you tighten it up they show if you look carefully at the underneath........Glad you are enjoying the razor .....:)

It is not a Parat, it a Rocket if you look at the link I posted you can see that the Rocket in the picture has the same handle as yours. Also I have one myself. You may have trouble getting it re-crimped even more so if it is an aluminium one as the metal is quite soft and easily damaged.

Is it fairly light, like it is made of aluminium? What you have a is a TTO Gillette that has come apart, the crimp at the top of the handle has failed allowing the head to separate.......I think.....;) It looks like a Rocket LD from the early 50's........

Looking for a Charcoal Level 2 razor. Dual head would be great or SB head, complete head or complete razor. I can get one from Charcoal themselves but I thought I would ask here 1st. Thanks

One I came across is Eversharp Super Stainless, great long lasting blades. The only problem is I have only ever seen the one listing. I have various Wilkies, Personna, Bleue's, and a load of Polsilvers that I sometimes use..........not used the Bleues or Polsilvers lately. I still use modern...
