    Cartridge razor advice needed

You'll have to search online, but Gillette Guard and the Bic Metal are very good single blade cartridge/disposable razors. Don't forget that proper preparation and soap/cream is half the job done. Don't just look at the razor. Why not try an 89 razor, some personna blades, a decent cheap...

    Schick Hydro Connect

Interesting that they fit the Mach3 and Fusion. I've used plenty of third party blades that fit the GII and Contour, but never seen any that fit the Sensor. I wonder what the deal is?

What's your most favourite winter shaving soap.

Some great suggestions. I'd certainly go for MWF and Tabac when it's cold. DRH Marlborough is another favourite of mine.

Opinel No 8 knife Carbon or Stainless?

I've got the No8 in both carbon and stainless. The stainless holds it's edge better but the carbon is easier to sharpen. It's a classic and simple design. They are excellent knives but a common problem is the knife getting wet and the wood handle swelling, making the knife difficult to open...

    More Blades Than Sense

I have two types, 7 o'clock black made in India and 7 o'clock blue made by PPI. They are both labelled super platinum, but I've not seen super sharp. Are they the same thing?

Read this if you have a Krona

The Crystals are more commonly known as the Israeli Personna blues. I think they are marketed in some countries as Crystal, although I have also got these blades in a small box of 100. The Personna Plats are the Israeli Personna reds. Link with pictures BTW, I love the Krona too. Fantastic...

    New Guy Needs Blade Help

Hi, a lot of new people go for the sample packs that contain different brands of blades. It allows you to try a lot of the more popular varieties available. I've found a lot of blades much cheaper and better than the Merkurs. Have a look whats available online. I notice you are in the USA, I'm...

Not glad about Tabac stick packaging

The old sticks used to come in a strong plastic tube and cap. Is it now a coated cardboard tube? Can the soap be removed and fit in the old container?

What's your best budget shave cream?

The old style Erasmic cream that was discontinued a few years ago, made in Jordan. A great coconut oil and glycerin cream with the unique old school Erasmic scent. They discontinued it and switched to something else, end of an era. I still have a few tubes left. Nowadays, it has to be Palmolive.

    Palmolive Stick VS Arko Stick?

Both are great performers and I will always have them in my soap stash. In fact I've so many Palmolive sticks, I could make a Jenga tower out of them.. :D

    Mitchell's wool fat

I've tried both and couldn't tell any difference in performance or scent. I got the MWF from the manufacturer, the Kent was/is available in a lot of High Street pharmacies. If you like one, try both! :)
