I used the new Wilkinson Sword Barber Style shaving cream this morning .
I’m not keen on the scent but really impressed with its performance, just rubbed a small amount over the face with my fingers after wetting the face .
Extremely slick and it gave a close shave .
I love mine , I’ve got one of each , silver and the black edition , I’ve always had a preference for Gillette over Wilkinson Sword cartridges .
They look good stood in the stands .
I’ve found my number now , thanks to the photo , the two boxed ones are 9139 , the same as yours .
The one in that came in the ceramic dish had no box so is the subject of pot luck
I must admit that I’ve never really been one for chasing Artisan made shaving soaps , I’m quite settled with my MWF/Kent collection and my stash of tallow Tabac , that’s going to keep me going for several years .
I bought some of the Egyptian stuff off E Bay , now I remember , apart from the liquidity issues , why I didn’t get on with the original , my skin doesn’t like menthol, I came out in a rash .
It’s a shame , it was a great menthol kick .
I’ve been following this thread for awhile and thought I’d better open up a couple of packages I received in the latter part of last year .
I was in no rush to open them up , I still have a lot of mileage left in my current puck of MWF but seeing this good / bad batch number business I thought...
Ive some of the Kent soap on the way , I’m currently using MWF after a long stay of absence .
How does the Kent soap compare , scent wise and performance wise ? , I believe it is MWF in another guise but I’m led to believe the fragrance is different .
At £5.20p a puck it was hard to say no .
My Father had what I thought was a peculiar habit at the time , putting a copious amount of butter on a rich tea biscuit , having tried it later on in life , I can see where he was coming from .
