"Razor burn". Tried everything I can think of.

Don't wash your face before shaving, doing so strips the natural oils and increases drag. Had the same issue, try it maybe like me it might be a case of less is more. Just a good splash with warm water the lather up. Trust me I'm not a doctor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I have a 'thing'

I like tractors, especially the green ones. Family and work folk say I'm strange when they find this out but then they all come and tell me they seen a green one go past. Don't know why they are looking out for things they said they don't care about but there you go.

    old spice prank

Don't know what worse, her putting the sauce in the aftershave or the camera in the bathroom. What if I wanted to have a ham shank that morning?

    Expensive sunglasses I didn't know I needed

The polarised glasses are better for glare but they screw with contrast, might not be an issue for you but it is for some. I use both polarised and non polarised versions, the non polarised ones are better in bright overcast days,. They are good for driving because they take the brightness...

    Help with energy saver bulb

If you can get that filling working I'd leave it but if you have to replace it then since its 28W the energy savings might not be great but you can get a better light colour. As its an ensuite you could get one balanced for natural light and it won't be so harsh on the eyes in the middle of the...

    Pils 101NE Unboxing

I had a brushed finish Pils, found it head heavy but once used to the different balance point (further up the handle) it mows stubble like it wasn't there. My sweet favourite combination was with a Personna blade and tabac soap. Congrats on your new acquisition.

    My handwriting's gone to hell!

If they can read and write I'm not that fussy if they are human or not.

    My handwriting's gone to hell!

I'm left handed, writing was not my favourite thing in school but these days I enjoy making notes. There's a bunch of people in my work who have changed the font to look like handwriting on their closing info. Interesting point about general tardiness to life creeping in. There are big gaps...

    Laser Level

Cheers guys, it's a mid 70s house but I know what you mean about relative level to the room. All I need for now is a straight laser line which is easy enough apart from the fact you need to stick it to the wall. I'm doing a whole house with shelves curtain rails and blinds. So even for this...

    Laser Level

That's a cracking bargain mind you. Will give it a bit of thought over the day and pick one. Right now I just need a straight line but the gadget freak in me wants a 360 degree 3 axis self levelling job with a tripod. Cheers

    Laser Level

Not sure to be honest Tony, the Rotary ones seem like a huge jump in price. I doubt I'd need it for mission critical work like founds just hanging pictures, curtain rails and household stuff. What does Rotary bring to the party? 360 degree cover without resetting the unit? Was trying to get...

    Laser Level

Anyone got a recommendation for a laser level? My daughter has a new house and I'm putting up about a million curtain rails pictures and assorted things that need to be level or on a straight line. I've been looking at the Bosch Quigo which projects a crosshair onto the wall, at £42 it is...

If it was the end of the world as we know it

My shaving stash would be in the shelter, but if forced to choose one it would be Merkur 34C, Tabac and Personna blades with my Simpsons Emperor in 2band.

    RIP Top Gear

I like the programme, I enjoy the cinematography which is down to the producers more than the presenters,. When compared to watching people jump in a swimming pool, sit in a house or eat bugs its a great Sunday evening magazine show. Just don't expect to learn anything about cars from the...
