Saturday 24th March

RSC Facial Scrub
Olive Oil Soap
Culmak Soap
Omega 10065 Boar Brush
Ming Shi 2000S with a Dorco Titan Blade (3 and 5)
Alum Block and Rinse
Floid (The Genuine) AS

After yesterday's bloodbath I delayed my shave until this afternoon. The facial scrub 'sandpapered' my face and I used an adjustable so as not to reopen old wounds! My nearest and dearest is away overnight on a girly reunion ....so its a beer and burger night for me:)

Three passes for a BBS and bloodless shave!

Georgetown Pottery G12 scuttle (Green Oribe & Purple)
Rooney 3/3 Porcelain Finest (26/59)
Houbigant Fougère Royale shaving soap (vintage)
Delta Echo Black Chrome-Nickel Feather AS-D2/Triad Satin Aristocrat
Personna 74 Tungsten (10)
Houbigant Fougère Royale aftershave (vintage)

The porcelain brush has a little more density and backbone than my other 3/3 brushes, making it even better for the hard soap.

Morning shave.

Olive Oil Soap
Wickhams 1912 Classic 24
Chubby 2 Best Badger
Gillette Fatboy
NOS Personna Star (3)
Thayers Witch Hazel (unscented)
Fine Platinum Aftershave
Creed Aventus

Well I scratched an itch and treated myself to a Chubby 2. And I'm really pleased that I did. Face lathering with this beauty was quite some experience. The Personna blade is improving with use. It was good on it's first run, but today's shave was extremely smooth and very efficient. I had planned a leisurely 3 pass shave but was pretty much done after 2. Which was a shame really as I had enough soap in the brush for around 6 passes. So I'm refreshed and very smooth. I probably smell quite nice too but I have a stinker of a cold and can't smell a bloody thing. Have a great weekend gents.

That's a class set up B. - welcome to Chubb Club - the first rule? We do talk about it. As discussed elsewhere - in my experience - the knot will change over time - my own went from bulb out the box to pretty much a fan now. It always made me wonder - is anybodies' face big enough to use the 3? I have a couple of the 30mm Masetos - a comparable knot - but somehow the Simpsons just have more class. I guess - at the price - they ought to have. A bit of mock Aventus splash - the RazoRock Emperor is also good for me - the Fine probably just edges it out - and then the real thing. Nice. yours - I.

Thanks Iain. Of course, as I'm sure you're fully aware, it's your fault that I bought the Chubby in the first place. But your right mate, it's a classy bit of kit.

A very late shave today. Will last for the weekend as I'm not 'socialising'. As I've had to use a cartridge recently and the same on Monday (Wilkinson Hydro 5 - not bad at all) because of early work starts, it seemed a good opportunity to use a Treet carbon steel 'one hit wonder'. It actually gave a very satisfying two pass DFS.
