I thought that I've figured out lathering, but of course there is always something to go wrong.
I've got some great lathers, really slick and cushioning, but also some bad ones.
I am away from home quite a bit. The lather I whip at home seems to lack slickness. It looks good, it is peaky, it shines, but the slickness is not there. Using the same soap, same brush, same loading time, but in a different location resulted in great lathers. I blame the water of course. My first try at fixing this was to use softened water, but the slickness improved only marginally. Any ideas? Thanks!
