SOTD Saturday 2nd December 2017 - Friday 8th December 2017

Sotd - Wednesday 6/12 -

Razor - Mergress (2.5)
blade - Lodz Polsilver
brush - Vie Long Anniversary two-band
soap - Nivea Original - Spanish version
post - witch hazel
a/s - Nivea 2 in 1.

Result - great -

So - operation shave more often - day one - let's rid the world of the scourge of excessive collections of software? I found out last night that, thanks to the generous spirit of the Streamline's owner @Boru62 I don't need to return it just yet. With that in mind I thought to try a bit of a 'palette cleanser' in the razor department. A DE - that's a novelty for me recently - my head having been turned by vintage single edges for quite a while. The Mergress did what it always does - left me bbs - but I think it was just a shade rougher in post shave feel than a single edge. Marginal - nothing serious, no claret spilled but a bit less kind on the skin. I'm glad I revisited the Nivea Originals cream - the one with sea salt and vitamin E - in my economy/budget shaving experiment earlier this year it was the stand out for me. It's still as good as any other cream I own. Two euros a tube. Face lathered with the Vie Long two band - if not the best brush I own - certainly the most beautiful knot I have. It's a work of art. Finished off with the Nivea 2 in 1. In my experience this after shave negates the need for a balm. Enjoy your shaves - cheers - I.

Razor: Timeless Smooth Cap w/ iKon Bamboo
Blade: Feather Platinum Coated (6)
Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigos Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
Soap: Reef Point Soap Tranquility
A/S: Reef Point Soap Command Presence Balm
Bowl: Timeless

Good shave tonight with less of a dry feeling on my face. Could have left the soap on a little to long yesterday. This time of year it is much drier in the house than usual. The iKon Bamboo handle is a great little handle IMO. Great balance in a good size.

Thursday 7th December

Birch Tar Soap
Vitos Preshave Cream
OSP Bay Rum Soap
Semogue SE OC Badger/Boar Brush
GEM MMOC with a shimmed GEM SS Blade
Alum Block and Rinse
BBA PS Balm
Benjamins Mentholated Bay Rum

This was the first time I have used an OSP soap. It lathered easily with a beautiful Bay scent. The MMOC was faultless resulting in a two pass BBS with only a little touch up.

Greetings,

Another early start for me this morning...I only have to the 15th December then i'm away from work until the new year. Yeah!!!:)

The Parker 92R / Voskhod T.C. Blade combo was a wonderful match smooth & efficient, resulting in a 3 pass + pick up Silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

The boots Original shave stick was a joy to use, it's only my third use, but it's already become a favourite in my shaving den, i'll have to check out the boots soap bowl ,'If they still make them in the UK?' to see if it's performance is on equal par to the excellent shave stick.

Finishing the shave of is style with a generous splash of Proraso Sandalwood Aftershave & Shea Oil ..superb stuff for the approaching winter weather elements.

My face is feeling hydrated, super smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Greetings All,

Wednesday shave.

One growth and warm shave

Preparation – Showered then face washed with Clique Liquid facial soap (mild)

Pre: None
Soap: Cella
Razor: Gillette Thin Adjustable (Setting 6 and 4)
Blade: Personna Blue (1st)
Brush: RazoRock 400 (face lather)

Post Shave: Hot then cold water rinse, Nivea Sensitive Cooling followed by Michael Kors EDT AS.

Today's shave – 3 passes (setting 6 for WTG and XTG and setting 4 for XTG) and no issues, but found the Personna blue, compared to the Silver Star extremely mild.

Cheers,

Brian
