Love the scent of this soap and super slick so thought it was a good place to start. Took my time (40min start to finish….) WTG and XTG twice, ATG on cheeks.

Had my trusty Rockwell 6c on standby but not required! 5 small weepers later, done. Lovely shave - not BBS but a very close comfortable shave.

Looking forward to rolling it out again… think it’s one for the weekends with the time taken though!View attachment 87009

The stubble had become rampant after car fettling over Easter so the big guns were wheeled out. I thought first of a straight but being out of practice I dug out the R41 and spotted the 39c so it too was hauled to the sink. After half and half I’m going to call it a draw both mowing through the 5 day stubble with ease. The Voskod blade isn’t first rank but the slant brings it up a notch and I think the 39c is more nimble around the hooter.
The 39c is one of the first DE razors I bought new about 15 years ago and it never disappoints a pity it sits in the drawer while its master fiddles with less worthy iron!!
