After a nearly sleepless night, I needed the comfort of this excellent 'barbershop' shave. I wasn't worried or ruminating; but my mind was overactive, and I just could not sleep. Along with the soothing powdery shave, listening to Bach's Violin Sonata No. 2 in A minor, arranged and played by guitarist Paul Galbraith, was also helpful.

Evening folks went for a 3 pass shave tonight with just over a weeks growth and decided to use planet java hive from paa very nice subtle scent after the shave it smells of coffee and honey and the soap performed as expected great the splash also had a really nice scent I also used the sabre and it was a really good shave

Taking my NOS vintage Minora out for a second spin, this time with the other modern Minora blade.

Hmmm ...

I like the razor. I'm not that taken with either of the modern Minora blades, finding both scratchy; the stainless throughout and the platinum at the beginning, but it smoothed out during the shave. The platinum feels sharper. Neither met the bar. I'd liken them to Dorco or to the poor end of Indian blades, like Topaz or Laser.

Anyway ...

Fun, nevertheless.

Nice enough soap! The scent was good, the lather was richly creamy and very slick
The shave with this razor paired with the blade was good enough but a bit chattery atg around the lips area. 3passes for a dfs+ finish.
Aftershaves were good.

Good shave this morning, blackbird took down two days of growth with ease. Switch back to standard soap (much better), nice slick and cushioned lather, no clogging and nice smooth finish. I won't be switching to Viktor Rolf cream in a hurry!

I received my Hone Type 15 back from Razor Emporium a while ago, following their Rhodium revamp service and It turned out beautiful!
Was skeptical about the polished finish affecting the handle grip, but no lackluster issues to report on that front.
